Just for the record, if you build an MHS double blade, you can make everything align properly. Or so they say. Just need to tell Tim what you want to line up in your order. And you need to order it all at once of course. Can't align pieces if he only has half the pieces in front of him. =)

Ultrasabers also offers a lining up coupler. It is actually kind of cool, you can basically thread it into position until it lines up. A bit tedious but I have seen it done. Its the adjustable flush coupler, though it is only for MHS parts.

Great video! Gotta say that most unboxing videos annoy the living crap out of me because they're so disorganized. I really wanted to see this new saber so I thought what the heck...
Honestly, you got me thinking there may be an Acolyte in my future. Congrats on the new sabers, they look fantastic. Eagerly awaiting a quick connect video |

You can easily line up threaded parts, so this should also work for your staff.
Just don't over do it on the sanding: |

Purple blades are my favorite color. Too bad that they are not appealing to you as these sabers both individually and as a staff look great. Have you considered using a Lee or Rosco color filter on the LED to deepen the purple a bit more. Shouldn't decrease the brightness much or at all especially with the 12w. Thanks for the video.
