I wanted to post a quick update for our ASP backers.
As of this week we have completed all 4000+ ASP sabers that were ordered through KS and IG. We are getting these last orders packed up and shipped out this week. If you have any questions about your order please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your backer number and inquiry.
We had initially planned for 250-500 sabers for ASP and were blown away by the incredible support that grew our campaign to 10x our projected goals. This caused some productions delays and again we want to thank all of you for your patience while we learned what it takes to release and scale a brand new product line. These lessons will be applied to our Adaptive Blaster Parts campaign we launch later this year.
With the completion of our pre orders this means that ASP will be going live to the public via www.SaberParts.com later this month. Pre order backers will be given a special coupon code to use with their first order as a thank you for the patience and support that you showed us.
SaberParts.com will be a pre built business model and all in stock items will ship in a 3-5 business day time frame. This means quantities are limited to stock on hand and with the popularity of ASP some parts are projected to sell out in our initial release, but we will do our best to plan future runs based on the popularity of individual parts so that all parts can be kept in stock at all times. To further that goal we have added a multi axis CNC lathe to our own production line and have partnered with local machine shops who can offer high speed production.
SaberParts.com will also launch with pre built plug and play electronics as well as metal parts, blade plugs, blades, stands, and accessories.
We are also thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of www.LazerForge.com, this new venture will focus on precision laser cut and etched products, such as intricate light up stands, blade plugs, and accessories.
www.SaberParts.com and www.LazerForge.com are expected to launch by the end of this month, please stay tuned to future updates for the grand opening announcement and may the Forge be with you all!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Sweet. ASP is finally going to happen for us non-backers :D Although I'm still not relying on the validity of "launching by the end of the month" until I see it. I'm excited for launch, but I will wait until I know it is happening until I hype myself about it...

That is good news. But will have to agree, will believe it when see it happen. One to many times have we been told something just to have it back logged. But if it does happen, happy happy joy joy.

I have no doubt this will happen, whether by the end of this month or later doesn't bother me, it appears when it is ready.

What does concern me is that "quantities are limited to stock on hand and with the popularity of ASP some parts are projected to sell out in our initial release". Just have to hope for the best when it comes to composing my saber parts together.

Perhaps they could implement a "I'm willing to wait" order option for out of stock parts. That way you can order everything you want at once, and SF can gauge what the public wants.

i wonder if there has already been a trend in popular pieces based on the kick/igg? im hoping my initial selection will be fairly common. to save money I'm only doing an empty hilt to ensure that I can get what I want right away. i have seen people install sound boards and leds on youtube.

That's great news.

So, how about you folks who already got your ASP sabers hold off from placing new orders to give the rest of us a chance to catch up? ;)

Unfortunately, the wait has only made us more saber hungry. It's every Jedi for themselves! :P

we have added a multi axis CNC lathe to our own production line and have partnered with local machine shops who can offer high speed production.
Hopefully this means the wait for parts won't be as too bad. They're at least closer to SF than their overseas supplier, so that'll shave some time off right?

THANK GOD! FINALLY! Thank you very much for the discount for delivering the sabers late. That's very appreciated. *thumbs up* I was hoping/expecting you would do this. Victim of your own success perharps? Well, better that than failure, that's for sure :)

SO look forward to receiving it! I can't wait to *EDIT* assemble!!! *EDIT* and then hold it!

Am hoping that ASP and LazerForge launch around same time. As well as the ASP crystal expansion will be included in the launch.

i received my update on May 27th with tracking number.

Nothing has shipped yet.

My order was "nearing completion" and that's the last I heard. Still 2 days left but no updates on tracking other than USPS got the shipment info.
