Nothing has been set in stone. I do know some people were using the price of the ks/ig orders as a base for the parts of the hilts. That was roughly 37.50 a part making an empty hilt $150.

I am speculating that for an identical Champion saber that is available on the main site and also on ASP, the ASP version should be cheaper. This is because there is no recharge port, no illuminated switch and theoretically no extra labor cost for assembling the parts.

That's correct. I ordered a all-black champion-grade ASP Katana (10.5") and it came out $15 cheaper than if I ordered it on the website (barring any discounts). Longer katanas would be even cheaper. The downside, as you mentioned, is that there's no in-hilt recharge and illuminated switch. So I suppose it evens itself out.
