I'm going to build my own electronics for my ASP saber, as want changeable fonts and a built in recharge port, and I don't feel like waiting for SF's solution. I have the part list made and I'm going to have a 3D printed chassis to support everything.

What I need to know is the inner diameter of the ASP saber body, specifically Body #10. I tried measuring several times and either came up with 1.00" or 1.10". Which is the correct ID?

All SF sabers should have a 1.127" ID. For my installs, I've been using 1.11" chassis from Shapeways.

I have body #2 and it measures 1.125" with my calipers. I'm not sure if bodies vary. I would think they would keep them all the same ID.

SF emitters and switches are 1" ID, with body pieces being a bit bigger (my Venom body piece is also in the 1.125" range).

Just popping in to confirm these measurements based on my own ASP build.

I'm thinking of doing the same, and looking for a chassis for the battery, speaker, and driver board...

Any idea if this TCSS chassis would fit? (pic links to product page)
This is not the post you're looking for.

I'm gong to assume one of the ones made by Darth Ryo. Pretty much the go to guy for 3D printed saber stuff.

No, those are meant for 1.25" ID parts (like their MHSv1 parts), especially since the speaker holder is lipped and slightly wider than that (meant to catch on the end of the threads in the body pieces and be locked in with the threads from the pommel).

They do sell chassis disks for their MHSv2 parts (which are 1" ID), but they can only hold a battery pack or a NBv3, not both at the same time. You could use both if you have a longer saber and stack them end to end. I have a battery one left over from my Graflex 2.0 build (I shaved one down to fit into a 7/8" piece), and it fits fine into my ASP body with a bit of room to wiggle.
