Anyone know how to lock the thin necks into position? I'm not seeing any set screws.

The best I can think of is to screw the LED to the inside brass of the thin neck and loosen the neck until the LED sits tight against the housing.

But that isn't exactly duel-ready :|

Any ideas?

Thanks!

When thin-neck sabers are assembled at the shop, Loc-Tite (I believe the Blue type, NOT the Red) is used to secure the emitter to the grenade section. That is the reason why Quick Connects are not offered. In fact, most times when folks have issues with thin-neck sabers, it is due to the Loc-Tite seal coming loose resulting in the emitter turning on its own during dueling. As for the LED inside the Grenade section, I am not sure if that is secured via threads, or a "C" ring. I understand it varies depending on the thin-neck model (Chosen vs. Prodigal Son, etc.).

I've got nothing on mine. No loctite. Just 100% loose. Not even a trace of loctite.

I'm guessing just use RED, which I have.

The LED screws into the bottom of the thin neck that sticks inside.

agdev, maybe plumber's tape would work as an alternative non-permanent solution?

I don't believe Loc-Tite Blue is a permanent bond. Loc-Tite Red on the other hand...definitely permanent. However, the plumber's thread tape is not a bad idea either.

Blue is tight enough that you would still need to heat it up to break the seal. I believe green is the loosest
