I have used my ASP very little so far. Fully charged the battery and used it for about 3 hours. Left the battery inside for about 5 days or so. I understand that because there is no kill key, there is a constant drain on the battery. Tried to power up and nothing. Charged the battery overnight. The next day had a green light. Put the battery in and "Saber core...ver v v v v v.........." Nothing. Tried charging again. After several hours green light. Popped the battery in and same thing. It seems obvious that the battery doesn't have enough power to power on and is not charging.

Does draining the battery to nothing cause it to not be able to hold a charge?

Thanks.

Your soundboard may have over heated. Best to send SF an email about it and warranty may replace it.

You know, I did notice that the board or a specific component on the board gets really hot. I noticed this when I first assembled everything. Is this normal?

I would remove the battery if you don't intend to use the saber.

The battery is fine. It appears the board is dead. If leaving the battery in causes the board to overheat and fry, I don't know why a recharge port and kill key isn't standard.

Update....
Board was fried. I think it fried itself because from day one it got crazy hot almost immediatly. SF replaced it. This board stays cool even if the battery is left in for an extended period of time.

Glad to hear it is now working as it should!
