Recently I have been going over either buying a fully built saber or buy the components and assemble it myself. When I go to the light and sound section of the parts section it got confusing. The PnP champion sound kit says in the description that it can be recharged, but does it still need the battery to power it? (I might be a bit dense about this)

The PnP V2 kit comes with a battery, it's all wrapped up in the black tape. All SF sabers with sound and light require an 18650 lithium-ion battery to power it.
