Has anyone found any alternatives to the SF shims? What's their inner diameter?

Sanding the female or male end of the parts. Rob (Madcow) has a video or two on YouTube that shows the process.

Teflon "plumbers" tape also works great for minor adjustments and to hold the pieces together tightly.

Thanks! I'll look up that tutorial.

Teflon tape is my favorite! I use it on all threads that will not be locked in place to enhance fit and reduce wear. Great stuff and glad to hear I'll be able to continue using it here!
