I can't seem to find the answer on the site. Do ASP pommels come with the vented insert? If so, are they already in place when shipped, or is it up to the builder? Are they generally glued or held in place with a C-clip?
I wish the site gave a little more information in the part descriptions. Thank you for your help. |

Yes the insert is included, and as far as I know (via the two that I have) it is held in with a c-clip. Some could end up being glued for all I know.

Some are definitely glued. The 08 pommel I have is glued because the area its inserted into is too wide to hold in with a C clip alone. Though an appropriately sized spacer could be used with a c clip to hold it down if the glue fails or you want something more secure.

Personal experience with the few hilts I've handled is clipped Elite inserts, glued ASP inserts.

My standard built pommels are glued, my ASP are c-clipped. So it seems random, lol
