Here's my ASP with electronics courtesy of Jas-Ot! Still trying to think of a name. I build and sell boats for a living, so I'm trying to find something nautical. Anyway, here are the photos.

Hi Rennek,

The name Thwart springs to mind. (Def: To prevent someone from performing an action or the seat across the middle of a rowing boat!)

just a thought.

For Tyeth

EDIT: Forgot to add that it's a nice streamlined design, hope it serves you long and well.

That's a very nice design, good choice on parts. They work well together.

That blade plug looks fantastic and fits well and matches both the emitter windows and the pommel design.

For a nautical name I'd suggest the "Marlinspike", because it's long, sleek, and has a bit of a tapered point at the pommel.

That's a great looking saber, nice choice of parts. That emitter really pops with the windows. :) Also, great choice of blade color.

BEAUTIFUL SABER!!!! I'm not a fan of the epoch emitter because the windows are only on one side. But the overall look of this saber works REALLY well.

Thank you for the compliments and suggestions everyone! Sorry for the inverted photos. I still haven't figured out how to prevent that...

Hi Rennek,

What system are you running (Mac,Windows or mobile) to produce your pictures? Depending on what you're running you may be able to rotate/flip the images using photo editing software or even just MS Paint or Windows Explorer.

kind regards,

For Tyeth

P.S I also have to point out I am getting old, I never even noticed the pictures' orientation I was transfixed by the saber!

Thanks for the suggestion, For. I'm using Windows 10, but the images are only inverted after I post them on the forum. They look normal in my photo albums on my computer.

Probably because your PC reads the file info and orients them correctly when they're displayed on-screen, but the camera actually took them flipped. One of my old camera phones used to do that.

Saber looks good though!

Hi Rennek,

That's ok, just thought I'd ask. I imagine you could still rotate and resave them. Luckily OvrcAHst has fixed the problem...I imagine he sees a lot of upside down pictures!

Technology huh?.....You either swear by it or swear at it! (or in my case both in equal measure!).

Once more I hope your saber serves you long and well,

For Tyeth

Hi Rennek, Everybody,

I have a few more too, here goes...

Bowsprit:
A spar running out from a ship's bow, to which the forestays are fastened.

Figurehead:
The carved decoration (a bust or full length body sculpture) attached to the bow of a sailing ship.

And if I can be a bit self indulgent...

Forecastle (pron. fowk-sul; commonly abbreviated "fo'c's'le") refers to the upper deck of a sailing ship forward of the Foremast,

kind regards,
For Tyeth

Great suggestions, everyone. Thank you! Here are a few I've been throwing around:

Delphin, the leader of dolphins who became the constellation Delphinus

Galene, goddess of calm seas

Leucothea, a sea goddess who protected sailors and fishermen.

Hi Rennek,

I have one final name for you, Nautilus. There have been a few ships named after the creature so why not a saber?

kind regards,

For Tyeth
