Rhyno Offline New Member Posts: 5 Thank you received: 1	Hello all, need a little help, I have the newer champion ASP sound kit withbuilt in recharge port, and a lighted AV switch, I know I did not reverse the connections because the connectors Saberforge uses there is only one way it will go in. My question is when I am charging, the AV switch stays lit is this normal? Thank you for any help.

Vechaljian Offline Elite Member Posts: 312 Thank you received: 168	No plugging in the charger should be like inserting Kill key as far as the electronics is concerned, saber will not operate including switch. The charger end being metal completes a path to the positive and negative of the battery, while interrupting negative flow to the Soundcard.

Rhyno Offline New Member Posts: 5 Thank you received: 1	#vechaljin Thank you Ok so this it is happening the AV does stay lit and the light on the charger stays solid green, I have been using it so it should be needing a charge. As far as I know the charger is supposed to blink red until charged then green Could it be a defective charger? Or a defective charge port? The kill key will power off the system tho, and everything else works correctly

Sounds like a defective recharge port, if your using a plug in charger it should be solid red/amber until charged then green, flash red/amber usually indicates a problem. the chargers that you remove the battery and charge externally flashes red until charged. I had a saber that had a bad connection at the recharge ports ground, but still worked except when charging. I ended up re making the RCP myself since SF and I us the same JST connectors. Never had a issue since.

I don't use a lot of illuminated switches, so I couldn't say if my switch was lit or not on the saber I did have a problem, but the charger did flash red.
