TOPIC: Curved Hilt Bodies

OK so this is my first time using the forums so bear with here. i'm looking to get my first saber but i want to built it myself with ASP and Plug-n-Play, but the issue is the type of blade i'm looking to make. I've always been a fan of curved hilt sabers and hoped to make mine with that style, but there aren't any curved hilt bodies available. i was highly interested in the "Vanquish" body due to the smoothness of the curve unlike "The Count" and due to the handle having nothing on it like the "Bane Mk2". but not here (or any other site) sells any kind of curved body, simply put i would like to know if there is any plans to put curved hilts on ASP any time soon or if there is anyway to buy the part separately. and if nothing else works any other alternitive
note:i really don't plan on waiting years for the parts to be put on ASP and would like to make it ASAP ~thanks in advance~ |

These are coming in late March, early April.

Meant to ask in the first reveal thread but I'll go ahead and ask now. Do we know at all if these are going to be one piece or the clam shell/sandwich design of the current Banes?

Hi Keremcan,
It is a concept design by Thomas Snyder (SF's Lead Designer). He posted it a while back to show off what his new 3D rendering software could make sabers look like. As far as I recall it was posted on the forum by Brax and you can find it HERE. It was originally named "Talon" by Snyder but that name has already been used for the Apprentice line model. Other members suggested "Nautilus" And I have no idea if it will ever see the light of day. Hi Keremcan,
Well, as Roger Redux pointed out above ^^ you only need SF to produce the emitter, switch and pommel section to go with the new curved ASP body and you will have a close approximation of it. (Of course you might have to get some etching done to get the tribal tattoo/thorn logo on it!) For Tyeth |

Another thing, what about pricing. Around what cost would the parts be, even an estimate would help me with the budget for them.

Nothing official but I would guess around the cost of a straight hilt, probably a bit higher

does anyone know when the curved hilts will be added to the virtual saber builder, it would be great to see how they would look with the current parts, see what i could goo for an what not.

Ooh those are very nice hilt options, think I’ll hold off on a few purchases I wanted to make until those come out...
Question though, are they compatible with the plug n play kits or not? |
