For those who aren't watching the KS page like a hawk, the SF team just put up a great new update, including some awesome pictures of the ASP factory!

Here's the tl;dr:
  • ASP fabrication is nearly done. A few bodies and pommels are being machined, but the majority of parts (80%) are finished and have passed QC.
  • The Forge has hired 40(!!!) new employees to help handle the load thanks to the KS and TFA bump.
  • The SF showroom is also getting improved - a new one that is SIX TIMES the size of the old showroom will open early next year.
  • The goal is to hopefully start getting everything shipped out the door in the next few weeks.

All in all, it sounds like it's going to be a VERY busy end to 2015 for the 'Forge, but I think it's going to be worth all their hard work!

This is the sort if news I've been wanting to hear! Thank god! Maybe the lead times can finally start to go down. This is some great progress, they are proving they can do this. I'm so happy that this being done in the USA. Saberforge made in the USA. Phil could have easily gone to China or Mexico, but he's not about easy, he's about quality.

Colossal Congrats to All at Saberforge!

Wow even that isn't enough to describe what I've just seen. That new facility just looks so good and streamlined, I swear I could almost see the sabers being assembled before my eyes.

A huge thank you to you all, and I hope for greater things for The Forge in the future.

Thanks BZArcher, I was just about to make a post about this.
All in all, it sounds like it's going to be a VERY busy end to 2015 for the 'Forge, but I think it's going to be worth all their hard work!
Now that this is wrapping up all I can think about is what new things will be coming down the pike!

I'm just glad I'm not in the pictures. I was walking around behind Phil while he took them instead. Hiring more people at the same time.

Yeah... that's right. Hiring more people.

Customer Service is also expanding; we went from me, to me and another guy, to me and two underlings. I'm now the CSM (Customer Service Manager) and in charge of the department. So this will mean once I get the third person in and trained up... answer wait times - gone. Better service all around. And I can focus on organizing and pulling Kickstarter orders (cause right now I'm eyeball deep in chaos, lol).

I can't wait to see how the ASP sabers come out.

Hopefully now the comment section over there will become less like a YouTube comment section or Trump speech and get some more hopeful and excited posts going.
