Hmm maybe the recent thin neck issues have to do with the part shortages? Maybe they were being sent inferior parts? I just hope its all fixed by the time i receive my PS. Ive been waiting since Jan 23. B)

Anyone have pics of a hero tier thin neck next to other sabers when on for brightness comparison? Mine on full charge seems dimmer than I have seen others, could be due to the other issues? My Exhalted's 12w combined cyan is no where close to say this 12w+ cyan and mine is supposed to have the new brighter leds.

Thanks in person does it appear brighter or darker than that?
Here is mine on a towel in a completely dark room on full charge. Camera makes it brighter than it is in person.
6w+ blue

6w+ green

It looks nicely even brightness all the way. . The flare surrounding the blade didn't look as bright. . But I think you have the right thing 12w+ maybe other people here can take a look. . On my carpet in a fully dark room looks great. . The cameras catches the flare pretty nice

Thanks. Here is my 2007 MR Luke for comparison which is a darker blue and running off rechargeable AA batteries that are not full charged. It appears brighter than my 6w blue mode and the 12w cyan isn't a whole bunch brighter than my MR. Side by Side the camera auto adjust washes out the MR nextto the SF and makes my SF appear much brighter and darkens my MR. I wonder if the LEDs should be looked at too as they are rattling around in the hilt.

I noticed the film in my Exhalted's thin neck is slightly crinkled I straightened it with a long q tip and the saber got a little brighter and the pattern the leds cast on the wall improved.

Finally got a reply from SF. Had to send them pics and video of the saber, hopefully I'll get my RMA soon.

Just got my exhalted back from saberforge and they fixed the chips in the hilt and the loose emitter but the second button for blaster fx doesn't work where it did before sending it off for repair. Trying to contact saberforge again . :(

just got back my Exhalted from repairs after 4 weeks ... although I am very happy overall because they fixed/ re glued the emitter and fixed the rattling led, I feel that there was some rush during the repairs...
first, the black neck piece has some minor scratches where you can see the brass (or copper) through the paint... that wasn't there before,,, and the base of the emitter has some black glue residue exposed ... I know I am cherry picking here,,, but quality has to prevail over bulk and quantity...and for a hero tier saber I expect attention to detail... I am very concerned that their quality control has suffered from the large amount of orders ... I am still waiting on ASP IGG but once I get that one,,, I will not place another order until operation, lead times, ASP launches and everything comes down a bit... so they can focus on the little details again.. pics to follow..

The neck looks like you can touch up.

I see where you say there is the residue... did you try scraping it or picking it out with something like a toothpick that wont scratch the metal?

Sucks that it isn't perfect (it would bother me too) but its not very noticeable

Thanks, it was too hard for the toothpick to take off.. but I used a dental tool... very careful and got it out... the paint for now,,, I just used a sharpie but will repainted later on... not too bad... to me, it was more about principle and attention to detail... but its looking much better now
