Ok, I think I REALLY fixed it this time!

I created an alternate account for myself with no super powers, and tried a few variations on the admin tool until I got it to the point where my alternate account could reply to topics in that thread, but not create any new ones. That is what I had intended, and if it is otherwise in your experience, let me know and I will keep hammering away at it.

If it works, we won't have to keep creating alternate topics to talk about the good stuff that goes in that thread.
