I apologize in advance if anyone else has already designed anything like what I've done below. I tried looking through the different pages and don't remember seeing anything, but may have missed something. I like the Epoch emitter and wanted to do some different designs based off of it. I will have four posts total.

Here it is! After spending a lot of tme on the ASP builder I finally came up with a design that says... well... ME. I'm sure someone out there may have a similar design, and it's not now as exotic or flashy as somo other I've seen. But this is a design that feels right for me. After all, aren't Jedi supposed to "craft" thier personal sabers? :P

If I were to give it a name it would probably be, The Avalon. No reason, just seems appropriate to me.

Parts
Sinister Prophecy Pommel . Standard
Reborn Body . Standard
Switch 4 . Black
Vengeance Emitter . Standard
Led 12W+ . Medium Blue
Blade Plug 2 . Black
Blade 37''
Sound Viridian

Now I just have to order this order this thing... O_o

Here is my first creation. I have always been one for simpler, less "busy" designs, and this one is the best I could make.

It's Regal, yet simple. With a classic touch--Love the Graflex Emitter!

Can't decide which finish i want... All light? --

Or all weathered --

Or a mixture as seen in the first two pics. What do you guys think? (I'm leaning towards all weathered because I might use it in a steam punk/jedi costume...)

J-Manix98, Nice first steps and Posting of your first Design. I have an appreciation for both: Simplistic, clean lines as much as 'Busy' darker finishes however do favour more towards the latter. As a Hilt standalone, I actually like the scheme depicted in the first two images 'mixed' using the Standard Finish partnered with Weathered. IMO, it accents beautifully against the Wrapped Hilt. For the intended use for Steam Punk/Jedi Cosplay, I agree with you and favour the Weathered Finish. Hope to see more of your creations start to surface.

Thank you! Yeah, I myself really love the contrast in the mixed setup... But I really love the antiqued look of the fully weathered saber too... UGH! I'm completely torn. (1st world problems, XD)

Return to the Builder and reconfigure your parts but duplicated consecutively and add a matchmaker Coupler. ;) I went with the Weathered solely for the application of Cosplay as for me it reflected the Steam Punk visual association more successfully. If you're still torn, bank the image for revisiting later and re-evaluate then. Or tinker with the 'Mixed' by changing the wrap to a black to give you the features of the weathering that appeals to you. Possibilities are expansive.

Heres another thought...

or

This way I might be able to retain the antique/steampunk look of the emitter, but still have some accent against the handle. Also, I think the weathered emitter would look awesome with a Yellow blade...

J-Manix98, a nice compromise. I personally like the aesthetics of the second image over the first and yes, a Yellow Blade would suit it perfectly. :)

Thanks! Yeah I though it was a good compromise as well. I really like the weathered emitter, but i don't want it to look *to* sithy.

J-Manix, am glad you are happy with the result. Ideally, to suit your SteamPunk Theme if Grey Weathering was available, that would be perfect IMO. Since it's not what you have created doesn't fall short either. These exchanges recently have sparked me to revisit Graflex emitters and as a nod to you, shall Post it shortly. ;)

That looks awesome! I really like the overall symmetry, very balanced look.

BTW, Do you know how much the ASP sabers cost? I know it is probably dependent on what features you include, but I am planning on just making an empty hilt and transplanting my electronics into it.

Edit: Also, I think this is my final design;

I switched the Crimson Stingray out with Brown leather, and then made the switch section have a standard finish. The brown leather seems to look good with just about any color, and I plan on eventually installing my own RGB color mixer at some point, so I can get a variety of colors off of my one LED.

Hi All,

Seeing these Graflex designs took me back to the Saber I designed for Finn, as a NextGen Graflex. This one of the designs I didn't post at the time. It is just a top and bottom view not the full 8 pictures that I normally do, but it gives an idea of what it looks like.

I adapted this one by swapping the body for the Sorcerer handle and a Graflex pommel. The two versions can be seen in "Themed Sabers", I called it Le Fin(n).

kind regards,

For Tyeth

I like it! Yeah, I think the Graflex Emitter is the best looking one. It's just so difficult to beat that classic look! Really like this one.

Hi All, J-Manix98,

Thank you, the Graflex is classic but the builder gives us the opportunity to create new classics. I have a new Redeemer design I will be posting in the "Themed" thread soon.
Regarding the prices for ASP Sabers, they haven't been finalised as the system hasn't launched to the public yet. Keep watching the forum for news.

Thanks again and keep up with your efforts,

For Tyeth

I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him.
