TOPIC: Themed Sabers

Since we've got this awesome tool with millions of possibilities, I thought it might be fun to have a series of "just for fun" builds of sabers themed around other non-Star Wars characters/properties that we enjoy. Put 'em together, maybe with a characterful name and short explanation for the parts chosen and such.

Looks good to me, but that's from The Captain Caveman of the forum! The designs have become more varied from when we had that little competition earlier in the year!

Inspiration has struck! I give you: The Upholder! (Name suggested by For Tyeth)
This was inspired by Captain America, as a saber that could be used in tandem with his shield. A saber that can cut anything alongside with a shield that can deflect anything-an excellent combo. The colors are obviously inspired not only by Cap's American hued red white and blue, but the silver is supposed to give the idea of the hilt being made of vibranium, as well. ((Rats, hang on, gotta figure out how to embed a picture.) |

I have to admit, I wouldn't have expected that color combo to work out, but it turned out nicely. The pommel vaguely suggests Cap's star, as well.Edit: Here's another, "The Patronus"

Trying to revive this thread with a pick-me-up: The Deadpool Imma Kill U Stabby Stick, otherwise known as the Full Size Deadpool Crotch Roc-- okay, we'll stop there.
"What? I was having fun!" Quiet you. Would you like to do the honors, Deadpool? "I'd be happy to! Just let me fix this italicizing the format on my text, and we'll be good to go!" Red Blade 26''--"As you can see, this bad piece of awesomeness is double bladed. Makes the bad guys twice as dead!" Juggernaut Emitter-Black--"Because like a Juggernaut, I cannot be defeated. Also, moar swords. Yee!" Fury Switch-Black--"You won't like me when I'm angry...lol J-K, I'm basically the same!" Dissident Body-Black, Medium Red Leather--"As you can probably tell, this laser sword thingy is designed with my trademark colors in mind." Male 3 Coupler-Black ASP--"Heh. Male part. Pffft." Thank you! I need more jokes, but besides that my real life Deadpool impression is even better. I've got a couple more saber ideas that will be a bit more serious. I mean, nothing can really follow Deadpool up. Bane from Batman (Dark Knight series) Roranoa Zoro from One Piece Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed (Ezio Trilogy) I'll do them in order unless I get a request for one above another or an entirely different idea. I am not doing one for: Any Star Wars characters that don't normally wield sabers, like Han Solo or Boba Fett Hulk Iron Man |

I like that name, For Tyeth! I'll be editing Cap's saber after this! Speaking of, I give you...
"Permission" 
Obviously the name is based on Bane's infamous line: "You have my permission to die." Sinister Prophecy Pommel-Weathered Resilient Body-Weathered, Yellow Leather Reborn Switch-Weathered Jade Emitter-Weathered Lime Green 37" Blade Sound Crimson Not only did I envision Bane to have a saber hilt covered in buttons and knobs that reflects the appearance of his mask, but for some reason I also envisioned sickly colors such as yellow leather and a lime green blade to give a sickly, poisonous air to the saber. |

I hadn't realized the images generated by saberparts.com were so short lived...or maybe they broke for some other reason. At any rate, fixed those first two pictures.

Hi Borommakot,
I always take a couple of screen grabs of any Saber I create and save the pics with MSPaint or Photoshop, whatever you have got. I'd also grab a picture with the parts list on too!. I have a folder on my laptop to store my designs in. Hope that helps For Tyeth |
