Howzit going, everybody?

Got another SaberForge review for everyone. Here it is: My first ASP hilt, codenamed "Ventus"

The pros of this hilt are:
The detailing of the saber is beautifully done.
It's a middle-weight hilt: not too light, but, not too heavy.
Solid construction.
Short enough to be used as a one-handed hilt, but also long enough to be used as a two-handed hilt.
Vented pommel and bass speaker makes for excellent sound quality.
Spark Color 2 Soundboard allows for editing of sound fonts
Dual Tactile Switch looks like an actual lightsaber switch and allows for both the recharge port and switch to be on the same side of the hilt.
Custom 12w+ Air Blue Color (Three Regular Blue diodes and One White diode, the reverse of Frost White) is bright as always.

Cons are:
Some areas are sharp enough to cut the skin (not enough to draw blood, though), but, that could be easily remedied with a bit of fine grit sandpaper.

So, that's my take on the Ventus. Here's the video review (the actual review doesn't start until 14:20. I did a lot of yammering on, my apologies).

Thank you very much. Sleekness and symmetry were key components when it came to designing this hilt. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Kiakahi, first up mate, my condolences with the recent passing you experienced of your Family's Patriarch.

Great addition to your Collection. Kinda went in knowing to set some time aside to watch the video but damn son, 30minutes!? not going to lie, started and gave it the first 10minutes but as soon as you dropped Logan I FF'd about 6minutes and watched from there. Mate, you apologise for the first blinding and then immediately after, go and do it again. Blade Plug, that is all. ;)

Excellent pairing with your Custom Font too. In your second video, could have sworn the ignition shares a similar idle hum to a Super Saiyan powering on.

Interesting use of parts for Ventus. Comparable to your Ares? How do you find the dual micro tactile switches?

Fantastic choice for an ASP, great style in following the Katana-Gaflex blend.

Thanks, mate, on both counts.

I don't blame you. I did say it was a lot of yacking.

I didn't have the blade plug on me at the moment. I do now. Got the Round Reactor Plug in silver.

As far as comparability, the Ventus is far more comfortable and lightweight than my Ares (which I never duel with because of that switch shroud jabbing into my palm and the crystal chamber unscrewing on me). It's far nicer to grip and is more aesthetically pleasing to me. The dual-tactile switch comes standard on the ASP Hero PnP Electronics System. I reverse-engineered the PnP's standard RGBA LED Module (incredibly risky move, I know), which is how I got my custom Air Blue color on there. I am planning on adding that emitter window to the blade tube eventually, but, I don't want to mar the finish. I'm gonna wait a week or so until it's a bit more scuffed up from dueling (I did buy this to be a dueling hilt, after all).

Thank you very much. I still plan on modifying it a tad, but, I am still very pleased with it.

Thanks, mate. I actually went ahead and altered the sound even further. I did some adjustments to the "Wind" font so that the blade shuts off at the end of the retraction sound but you can still hear the wind gust noise that follows after. I also added the Graflex font from The Force Awakens to add more of a traditional sound to it as it is partially based off of a Graflex to begin with.

I added an emitter window to the Ventus' blade tube. Now it looks even more Graflex-esque.

Whaddya think?

That's a very clever of way using it for your emitter. The Ventus looks excellent.

That is one of my favorite features of the graflex and I love reveals in emitters. Looks very cleanly done, nice job!

Thanks, mate. I was trying to make it look more like a graflex and it turned out beautifully.

Thanks. I'm a sucker for a lightsaber hilts with tsubas and emitter windows, so, for my custom build, I had to have both.
