TOPIC: Avenger Review and First Saber

I stumbled across these sabers sometime last year and researched them for a couple months before purchasing. All the research pointed me to Saberforge being the best quality on the market, although they come with a wait time (understandably). All the images and videos looked great and I decided to take the plunge just before Christmas. The hype for the Star Wars movie being in full swing and the proximity to Christmas undoubtedly meant the demand was very high at this time, so I was happy just to get an order placed.

I received my Tier 3 Avenger yesterday and it was very worth the wait! As others have mentioned, some of the hilt edges are a little sharp, although I am able to handle the hilt straight out of the box without issue. It was well packaged and everything arrived looking brand new. The battery seems to have a good charge on it, as I didn't charge it and it is nice and bright. In fact it surprised me how bright the 12w LED really is! Having the blade plug as a default feature was a nice plus, although I plan on having the blade in most of the time. Both are a nice tight fit and the blade feels nice and solid now that it is tightened down. The three large relief screws for the blade seem to hold it in place nicely.

The SaberCore sound is awesome and does everything I wanted it to do. The kill switch is a beautiful touch, I love how the saber comes alive when you remove it. Those little details are what make the saber so awesome.

I highly recommend SaberForge to anyone that wants a high quality dueling saber. The quality and attention to detail is really top notch.

An Avenger in Green! That's quite unique. Thanks for the review, we always appreciate them here. And since you got it yesterday, if you ordered from SF, that's a 12w+ LED. They replaced the 12w ones with 12w+ ones awhile back.

Thank you for the kind words everyone! I have definitely been enjoying the saber. It gives me that big toothy grin I used to get as a child at Christmas every time I light it up . I didn't realize the LED was 12w+ LED, but would explain why it is so extremely bright, thank you for the info on that @Ryan-Rizing. The original charge is still holding strong over a week later, so it must have a pretty nice battery as well.

I looked at a lot of hilts and even considered designing one, but the Avenger really stood out as a great-looking, functional hilt. I debated on the blue vs green or even getting both so I could switch, but decided to get the Saber I would build if I were a Jedi. No regrets whatsoever on the purchase, it is a work of art that I can play with! Now to start saving for my dark-side saber
