For what justifiable reason would you NOT want to ride an elevator with The Emperor?

Just a word though: The caps on the LAZERFORGE plugs that have any detailed etching are PLASTIC, NOT brass or aluminum like the plugs on the Saberforge or ASP site. I was disappointed to see that when I had my REACTOR plug in my hand. The Arabesh lettering also was a little "chewed" at the edges by the machine that did the cutting and there are milling stria across the surface. If you have an emitter opening that is set inside claws (like my Venom) or somewhat shrouded (like my Rebel) the lettering is shadowed by them. Once the LED is turned on it's impossible to see them. Since I have extra blade plugs I put it aside until my new SF Guardian arrived. It looks pretty good if you don't look too close. I also tried it in my Hasbro FX Kit Fisto instead of the metal plug that comes with it and it looks good there too. Not sure if it will stay tight in the Kit Fisto since its not screwed down but it would look good in a static display.

There was another theory exchanged here that the tops are actually Rowmark. Maybe just another name for plastic with a thin foiling of metal on top, but agreed, not quite the same as the other Apprentice/Elite Plugs. What would've been cool is if the Arabesh was lazercut to match the centred design to enable shinethrough. As they are, it's only really lightly scored into the surface. The remaining benefit is the top disc shares the same OD as the polycarb OD (much like the Apprentice Plugs) enabling more universal use.

Not just limited to the Emitter/Hilt type, I actually find that the entire outer ring is shadowed by the penetrating light. It still makes for a little blinding but compared to the ASP and Elite Plugs, light is shielded more effectively where you can still look square at it.

For a shameless plug on your referenced Hilts... B)

You're right, I don't look too close especially when the 12W+ is on. B)

I forgot to mention the reason I included "Target" blade plug in Part 2 was I forgot about it when I made Part 1. It belongs with the family of Part 1 plugs. Small matter. :P

Thanks! This really helps with making a choice on which blade plug to choose - this way I know the average size and how much light they let through ;)
Oh and just for the record, love how the first vid has this laid-back elevator music indeed and the second one is all ominous with Order 66 music :P

Am curious Ex. You have written several times that all your Hilts have a blade permanently parked in the blade socket and remain casually leant against random-placed furniture for quick-grabbing. Would that make the blade plugs kinda obsolete? :P

Yes, 99.5% of times they are totally obsolete. So I figured making a video or two might give them some use. Otherwise they are all housed in a one liter rectangular plastic Tupperware.

Seems like such a shame to have them confined inside a (near) transparent container. Just thinking out aloud here, have you thought to connect them to an LED for a strung display say like using Christmas (or) multi fairy lights inside each plug?

Interesting idea. How about you give me your address, I send them all to you and you can have a go at it?

Just how many Plugs do you have?

You cap these with your plugs and wrap some white electrical tape over the ends, instant lit plugs. Besides, to save on postage, just leave them by the front door and it'll be easier for pickup when I come over next.

Actually, since this happened to your last known address..

What's your new address?

I don't know how many plugs I have. I used to purchase them and stopped. Now if I do get any, then it's free/part of the discount.

An exception was the PropsandPrototypes plug I reviewed last week. I quite like that one and to help promote the work of a person disabled in the line of duty.

Thanks for the Vids EX, really cool of you to take the time, Thank you!

I'll be honest the first Vids' Blade Plugs are kinda on the dull side. The 2nd SF really up their game on, some of those are truly special.

EX, I had to fight the BP addiction as well, but once I realized I was making it hard to get sabers... It was fixed :woohoo: :woohoo:

Here are a couple sites with some nice BPs, if your a fan of BPs. http://cottontailcustoms.com/sith-bunny-blade-plugs/, www.imperialroyalarms.com/thread/1456/arkm-dse-razor-blade-plugs (crazy cool plugs)

Oh and if you want a laugh, look at vaders Vaults BP, kinda sad really. lol
