Anyone going?

If everything goes according to plan my brother and I will be heading to Boston on Aug.12.

Just waiting on my robes to get here (tomorrow hopefully) and my Pnp Hero to get back from the shop (with in the next few weeks ). Can't wait, it will be my first.

I think you can probably expect a higher than usual quotient of Fallout cosplayers this year.

I agree, though I've never been to a ComiCon. I also have no car. :(

I think I am finally done with all the adjustments needed. Just waiting on the boots now and have to iron the cape.

I want to get my hands on a sith acolyte/eradicator robe, but the only ones I can find are 300 freaking dollars.

For a black robe with red trim? Ridiculous!

I thought about going to Rose City CC, but probably not this year. Made it to San Diego back in 2002 when I was stationed just up the road from there.

@Brax & Rapine - Why thank you! I'm going to take pics with the full costume on and I will try to take some at the con and will post them.

@Darth Squidious - Holy farkle! $300 just for the robe. Have you looked into getting a black one and have a tailor modify it? Might be a good idea to call a few of the local tailors it might save you some cash. I had my belt modified very little, put some snaps to assist the Velcro. Went to a local leather worker, cost me less than $10.

Hello Gen Croix Man,

Really sharp tunic and robes you have there, sharper than a lightsaber...and they can cut through (nearly) anything!

I hope you enjoy Boston and get some good pictures. I got to my first Comic-Con (albeit a small local one) this year and it was a blast.

I've certainly thought about buying a cheap black one, halving the sleeves and adding the red myself. One thing most people don't realize about the military is that a lot of guys learn to sew, all accept the lazy ones who pay guys like me to do it for them.

Right now I'm working on an leather frock coat for a Edward Kenway outfit. I'm almost finished with that but I'm loathe to take on another project.

Hi Gen Croix Man,

That's unlucky! I managed to avoid any "Imperial Entanglements" visiting my first con...but I went Incognito!

For Tyeth

(Hopefully there are more pictures, just not from the Detention Block!)
