Hi Im a new member I just received my costume

Its a Kylo Ren costume but I am trying to make it not look like one, I was thinking of adding some armor to it, its not star wars armor though could not find any, I was thinking of maybe this in black

Custom Crafted Full Leather Arm Harness

Centurion Leather Body Armour

Conqueror's Breastplate

please let me know if these look to over the top or what you think I should choose, thanks

Hello there and welcome!

The Centurion armor looks good to me, the two other look a bit over the top. However, THAT'S MY OPINION, and you should totally go with what you like :)

Would you mind doing a close up on your shoes/boots? They look real badass in the pictures!

Awesome outfit so far!!!

I would definitely say if you went with an all black, with a muted/dark accent color on the Custom Crafted Full Leather Arm Harness it would rock!!!

The Centurion's works great as well.

The Conqueror's is a bit flashy, if the plates were weathered to not be so much like Chrome, I think it'd be cool too. :)

That is a real nice looking costume! Personally I like the Conqueror's and Centurion with the concept you have going on, the plate armor (SO SHINY AND CHROME! VALHALLA HERE YOU COME!) would make a nice contrast to the rest of the dark outfit. The Centurion would look real good with that too methinks.

Also I have to ask, where did you get the boots? they look very interesting.

That is an awesome costume! I know it's basically a Kylo Ren, but I can't honestly say I'd change a thing!

I'm working on a sith acolyte/eradicator costume myself. There's a guy on etsy that makes a wicked looking chestplate, ab plate and shoulders its the gauntlets that I'm having trouble finding.

Lionsdendc is the seller. A little spendy though.

Hi Darth Squidious,

This information is courtesy of Rapine (as he posted about it in his Rapine Iterations thread).

Have you seen the Dark Knight Armory website? They make/sell some real nice looking leather armour, and have a section dedicated to gloves and gauntlets.
The link is here: Dark Knight Armoury

But beware the website has been described as a "Rabbit Hole" due to all the awesome stuff they have for sale there.
hope this helps and Thank You Rapine,

For Tyeth

I have actually seen their site and they do some very cool stuff, I do my own leatherwork though. Im actually just about finished with my Assassin's Creed 4, Edward costume. Maybe I'll post a photo of it, I'll hold a saber just for relevance ;)

Hi Darth Squidious,

A set of photos in the Cosplay Gallery would be most welcome! And I'm sure one of the Moderators would approve too (I am referring to Aletani, who is quite nifty with a sewing machine herself!)

kind regards,

For Tyeth

You could do a Dishonored cosplay then you could use my ASP hilt I designed based on the extendable sword featured in the game!
