October 77' Jawa! My father taped two small flashlights to a ball cap. Old stinky brown burlap sack. Leather belt with rivets in it. I believe I was disciplined with it at least once, still love you Dad!
Great memories of a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

I have never done a stat wars costume. The one o am doing this uear is mostly slapped together sonce i dont have all the stuff i would like. Also up here in canada halloween can get a bit cold.

Current setup involves

Venomous fury
steampunk style pilot goggles
Full length biker's trench coat (nice and warm!)
Black work boots
black clothing
Black leathr gloves (cold air deies out my hands and they bleed fierce ick)

Should be good enough this year hope to have somethingore jedi ready next year!

Halloween isn't such a big deal in Europe (at least in France), so I've never really dressed for that event. However we do have Mardi Gras, which has nothing to do with the US celebration but the name. Last time I participated was somewhere in 1997, maybe 1996? I was 8 or 9 years old ...
I've done a lot of costuming though, I've been involved in theater plays my whole school life, from 6 to 18 or 19 years old.

I don't have the time nor the money right now to put together a proper Star Wars costume, but if I could, I'd most likely go as an ARC Trooper.
I'd get the armour, get the paintings needed to make it "camouflage", would create dents here and there, weather some parts of it, would probably add some black stick lines on the side of the helmet or on the inside of the arm, as a way to count the victims I made or how many clankers I reduced to pieces.
Maybe put a lightsaber to my belt, as a way to either symbolise the elimination of a Jedi Master during Order 66 or the exact opposite, being the safekeeper of it until this whole mess blows over (and a pint over at the Winchester ;) )

I'll need to convince the wifey though ... As I'll need her help (she's a much much better painter than I am) :)

This was my first "Star Wars" Halloween costume from 2009 which was inspired by my first saber purchase - a bargain Darth Vader MR force FX .

I did improve upon the costume slightly over the next couple of years but gave up when the pros started with their 3D printing and real skills.

2 (or 3) years ago, Luke from the opening of ROTJ, i used my Hasbro FX Luke saber and a cloak from a thrift store, it looks great over a black sweater jeans and boots. I even got my hair cut to look like Luke. I would show pictures, but the only people who thought to take them were friends and strangers.
If it aint broke, fix it till it is
