As I said over at the introductions, I'll be making an Sith costume :) Here are the (very) humble beginings:



And the 'sketch' of a few of the things I'll want to do:


Now, next to the lightsaber, I'll want more props, more details to the costume. What I've always liked about Star Wars Episodes 4 through 6, is that so many props used in those movies were ordinary items treated in extraordinary ways. Clever combinations and paint worked magic. That line of thought has inspired me in my makings far beyond this costume. And naturally, that kind of magic needs to happen for this costume as well.

So, behold, the start of the first gadget:


It's a two parter right now; the translucent item and the antenna. I'm planning to have this be my Darth's comm link, so I'll decidedly add some greeble.

Your costume is awesome mate! I love the armor that protects your torso and your back (not so original coming from me but hey!) do you created a character to fit your project? Like a sith lord with a certain name and all? If so, it would be interesting to hear about it!

Thanks for the praise, ladies and gentlemen! This weekend I'm off to a LARP, but next weekend I hope to have some time to continue working on this outfit :)

Also, Darth Revan, yes, I do have a character (name) for the fella; Darth Azkarra. Although I often make them fully fleshed out, I've only got a vague idea about this one; haven't put much thought into it because I'm not planning to roleplay him ;)

I find it helps me portray/'wear' the costume better. With the same costume, a shift in pose and stance can make a villain a (anti-)hero. And hey, that, in turn, means cooler pictures ;) And not important: I find it makes it more fun for me :)

Very Awesome Hellwolve. I'm sure you've tried a lot of face paint ideas and I like how you've kept it simple. I'd try adding white somehow I think at least to me it would look good...not sure how much maybe everything but the black design. It would really offset the black especially if you go out in a hooded mode.

Good luck with the rest looking great so far!

I'll tweak it to be sure. The whole could indeed use a bit more contrast.
