Takamatsu Offline Senior Member Posts: 67 Thank you received: 64	I carefully opened up around the eyes to allow some ventilation that can't be seen. I've also opened up one of the tendrils from inside the mask so that I can squeeze the tendril to quickly pump some air into the inside of the mask. The lenses fog up every now and then but clears up enough to make the mask wearable for cons/troops etc.

I've now completed a second lightsaber to use alongside the "Sith Fisto" converted one. This one has a yellow blade.

It has been made with some aluminium tubing and part of an LED torch, the pattern etched on using saltwater etching. Ideally the etching would have been deeper but my power source wasn't strong enough - I'll probably revisit this at a later date to redo the shroud. Inside is a Nano Biscotte with a Red,Red,Green Cree XPE led, using 1 red and the green to produce the yellow blade (the extra red provides the flash on clash). Oh, and it's loud....

I used to swear by the stuff in my close fitting paintball mask. There are diy recipes and some commercial ones for goggles.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, it's nice to hear

This week I've been playing/testing some saltwater etching and one of the test pieces came out well - so well that I ended up using it for a new saber.

The etching of the Sith SWTOR symbol wasn't as sharp as the rest of it (a different mask was used) but I think it kind of added to the weathered/relic look of the saber. It's a simple design which keeps it free from any greeblies that might get in the way and the pattern gives a great grip.
