 I will definitely ask you for advice when it comes to DIY on my saber if I feel up to the task lol As regards to the saber I really cant wait for it now (Damn you  ) But I am glad I went for it as my first saber.

No worries man, just happy to help. I love talking sabers and SW in general, its a fun hobby working with lightsabers and i really enjoy seeing what other people do with theirs.
Funny enough i usually feel the same way after i order one and come on here, seeing the pictures and videos are torturous..especially because of the wait! well worth it, the wait is however. you said it best when you said your FIRST saber, i didn't think i would get another when i got my first…but once its in your hands and your our dueling and having fun with it, surely it won't be your last lol. BTW heres what I've been working on with the Disciple since. let me know what you think! 
Coupled together with my Gladius, going to start working on it this week. probably going to paint them and add a few things here or there. hopefully turns out cool. stay tuned! |

Quick custom work update for you guys,
this is what it looks like under the wrap. 
the coloring of the metal is different because originally this saber was weathered, just incase you forgot to read the previous posts  more to come!

Hey there saber fans, haven't had much time to work on it, but here is an update on my disciple.
As you can see, has a few more parks, and partially re-wrapped leather grip. I have also started on blaster holes and cracks as you can see near the ignition buttons to the left, and closer to the emitter on the top. 
going for the most damaged and battered look i can, and next chance i get, ill get the LED inside working again. for now the lighting you see is from my Gladius. 
i think the blue looks great! Hope you enjoyed, more updates to follow soon!

Great mods!
I love blasterhole, slashed scar and cracks. But I don't have enough courage to apply them on SF sleek hilts haha. |

hey saber fans, i just finished the initial work on my Disciple custom let me know what you guys think of FrankenSaber: 
MODS: Blasterholes (incomplete) New grey leather grip ( removed original brown) Added Scar (crack) on "ignition" section Removed most weathering (originally was fully weathered) grinder down some top half pieces (used to be 6 blackings, now 3)

Thanks! The blaster holes will actually be a little bigger and more well defined next time you see this guy, but thanks for the kind words!

Holy crap guys really great work I really love this look. Maybe when my saber arrives i will attempt something similar
 If ether of you could make a video or even explain how you got the blaster marks looking worn yet still sooo sleek that would be such a help. Amazing work guys keep it up.

I'm thinking about getting this Saber as my first one, using your original choices as my design. I like the weathered look with the green and how the brown wrap adds some nice contrast. I might get the bronze stingray, who knows. The shiny wrap looks like it would be nice against the weathered look.
I wonder if SF can reverse the direction of the emitter/pommel. I feel like if the emitter and pommel were facing the same direction as the button it would have a more clean look. By the way your custom designs are amazing and it's really good work. Nice job! Cheers! |

I just received my weathered Disciple with a bronze stingray wrap. I'll pist some photos of it when I get home so you can see it for yourself. |
