TOPIC: Gladius 12w Blue (champ)

Hey there guys,
just received my Gladius today, and dam saber forge has out done themselves.
now ill get to the review in just a second, but i have to note …
this order came to me messed up, wrong saber and all, and through a little bit or a process i got it back.
that being said, saber forge went above and beyond for me, sending both a cover tech clip…a saber stand..and a free t-shirt to make up for the mess that was this order.
i love these guys, and they are defiantly doing right by their customers.

On to the Gladius:



B.e.a.unitful….Every time i get a new saber it blows me away, the pictures never truly do them justice and this hilt is NO exemption.



This is defiantly one more the more simplistic designs, which is what drew me to it in the first place.
its sleek and ergonomic design makes for easy spins and flourishes, and because the weight is (in my opinion) PERFECT, its easy to wield. I have dueled with this saber already, and not only does it handle very well, but its a very sturdy hilt, absorbing much of the blow that the blade has to take.
the inlayed black areas at the top and middle of the hilt make for excellent gripping points, and the overall balance is aligned with these grip points..again making for a better more well put together and useable saber.
one of my biggest complains about other saber hilts is that while dueling or flourishing it can be easy to hit the ignition switch and was just annoying, however with the Gladius this is not an issue as the switch is also inlayed and sunken in slightly, making it easier to avoid this problem.
The kill key is also very well placed in my opinion, instead of it being in the way at all it fits right where i would grip or handle ..making it easier to hold onto when the key is in.



The Viridium sound board inside sings like a bird, Loud and in sink with the different light flickers that come build into the sound board. i have to note that the electronics inside are snug..no moving parts at all, i think they did a great job with that and because i use my sabers to duel this is essential to not breaking the hilt or electronics in my use.
I have no Cons or negatives about this saber as of yet, i think its perfect for me honestly.
Like a gladiators sword, The Gladius is a hilt designed for dueling and fights.

Finally Dauntless 7 i think the new model coming out has some great new design features, and defiantly looks cool. I am glad however that i got the version i did, i enjoy the more simplistic look.

You sure? I think it would look FANTASTIC on my saber stand, here. Adorning my entertainment center. Next to my Jaina statue.

In all seriousness tho, that makes me want to pick up another gladius... tho I'm probably going to wait and test the new design once it releases. That one is really pretty, however.

Well saber fans, i have officially started the custom work on my Gladius, and the first section of "cracks" are done..let me know what you guys think!
