I got two Xyphos from the recent sale. I didn't think they would be that cool looking at pics and other videos. But they turned out to be much nicer in real life than I thought.

Another great review as always!

For comparisons: the v1 Gladius has a solid pommel, rather than the slotted one that the Xiphos, Gladius, and Resilient all have. And an empty Initiate with only one switch hole will have the LED retention screw where the recharge port is on these installed ones (at the end of that slotted groove).

It was spelled "Xiphos" on the at least the last two promos and that's the spelling of the actual sword type, soooo ... that's how I spell it, haha. :silly:

I stand corrected. Thank you!

The Xiphos is worth getting, I dig it.

Yes, yes it is.

I picked up 2 Xiphos empties on the FB groups. One is quite gorgeously custom weathered and wrapped, and should be shipping from being installed by Jas-Ot any day now. The other is a nice "clean" one that I originally purchased with the intent to use the larger surface area as compared to the Glaidus for a Jedi Code etching, but I kind of like the simple look of the bare hilt. Going to replace the black wrap on that with a custom one; the leather SF uses is too thick imo.

Great review, thanks for that. I'm a KOTOR series fan, so I love the sabers inspired by those games. I really like the switch section of this version, it's a shame they're not available in the store. Still, I'll take a regular Gladius. :)
