I received my Hero Tier Monarch late last week and the pictures and videos don't do it justice. Despite having already purchased a 12w green Champion Tier Weathered Fury for my son and a Hero Tier RGBA Vengeance, both of which are amazing and beautifully crafted, the Monarch is hands-down the crown jewel of my collection thus far. The colors are bright enough that I'm even wondering if they put a 12w+ LED in it.

I just wanted to thank the staff at SaberForge for the amazing craftsmanship they put into their sabers. I can't stop turning it over in my hands and appreciating the exquisite detail that is put into these sabers. For anyone considering purchasing a Monarch I can't recommend them highly enough!

I'll be sure to get some pics posted tonight for anyone who is interested to peruse. I was too busy over the weekend playing with the color and sound font configurations to get anything uploaded.

Nice.
Can't wait to get mine. The Monarch is going to be my second + third saberforge lightsaber. Both Hero tier, one is customized. Both arriving sooner than later hopefully.

Hi Borommakot,

I believe it was based on Malen Garek (aka Starkiller) who was a secret apprentice of Darth Vader.

Kind regards,

For Tyeth

Its been rumored that recent customer service emails regarding upgrades to 12+w have stated that they can't do the paypal method anymore because paypal complained but that for all future orders, just selecting 12w will automatically give you an upgrade to 12+w.

I really really hope this is true because I ordered an Epoch champion tier with a cyan 12w and a spare indigo 12w on Dec 27th before I even knew that 12+w existed. Since they have stated that they can't change current orders anymore due to the crazy business and workload, I was really upset that I hadn't been able to pay for the better LEDs. Especially since I had gone to the trouble of ordering a second color that would also be the inferior 12w. I would much rather have both of these be the 12+ and I can only hope that the rumor that they get automatically upgraded is true.

I'm sorry I went off on a tangent and completely ignored the actual topic!

I think the monarch is indeed a true work of art.

Thats probably the main thing that sets Saberforge apart from their competitors in the same tier. Every single design here at Saberforge is truly a masterpiece work of art. They are utterly gorgeous. If Saberforge has a saber inspired by a movie character's lightsaber and the other company has a version of it as well...its an absolute guarantee that Saberforge's version will be superior in EVERY way. No question about it. Looking at something such as the saber inspired by Qui-gonn Jinn's will show you that Saberforge has the most beautiful and more correct version by far. Its not even a contest.

If Saberforge could cut that lead time they'd put the competition out of business in no time flat.

The monarch is awesome and I'd like to own it except for the fact that it automatically comes with a crystal chamber. While I do think the crystal chambers are beautiful and add a really neat visual effect, I personally don't want to buy a saber that I can only sit on a shelf. I have to be able to spin them around and duel with them.

Actually, the Monarch is warrantied for full blade on blade dueling. It's much sturdier than the other crystal reveal sabers. The only way it's not warrantied is if it's damaged by a blade on hilt hit.

Also, I believe that there was someone that had a version made through the custom shop without the crystal chamber.

Wow! I had no idea you could duel with the Monarch!

Well that changes my mind completely. The Monarch is so beautiful AND can be fully used like any other saber. I may well indeed have to jump that one up my list of future saber purchases!

Thanks for the info wraithlord!

No problem Jbeem...glad to shed some light on that for you.

For what it's worth, I was in the same spot you were and learned while reading a post on SF Monarch Dueling (thank you Knytiri for the information!) that it was covered for blade-on-blade dueling. Of course, by that point I'd already ordered a Hero Tier Vengeance so I just broke down and ordered the Monarch as well.

Here are some pictures I took tonight of the Monarch that provide some different angles and highlight the different features:

Enjoy!

And a few more showing a bit more detail on the top and bottom halves of the saber:

Sensational! It does it so much more justice seeing images of the Monarch from owner reviews compared to the images of it on SF & Etsy.
I'm more restless now than ever waiting for my Hero Monarch to arrive.
My oversight, did you get the 6/6/12 setup or the RGBA? and are your 2 AVs illuminated?

What a gorgeous saber! That is an amazing piece you've got right there. Definitely something to be proud of. Congrats!

@Ouin
I went with the RGBA after much debate due to a number of reviews I'd read about the brightness still being very good for most colors. I also got my Vengeance in RGBA. I have to say, I think that they may have put the 12w+ RGBA in as it seems brighter than my Vengeance.

Both of the AVs are illuminated. I went with the standard blue and red (top AV is blue, bottom AV is red).

That Monarch is bad ass! I was never really into the design myself, but after seeing better pics of it I may have to change my tune! :)

That exposed crystal is gorgeous! Starkiller was able to construct an amazing saber that contends its Graflex inspiration.
