Even if you get a Shoto saber, you are paying $125 for a $160 saber. So, you are getting more than you are paying for, no matter what you get.

Hah! I figure the worst case scenario is a get a decent beater hilt, and I can at least:

1) Write up a tutorial on modifying an SF battery holder to mimic the polarised variant so that Panasonic batteries fit better, and

2) add my own basic sound board and recharge port.

Best case scenario, I get a Spark Color to tinker with.
