I can't decide between ordering a purple or indigo saber and need some advice. Which color is more of a true purple? I really don't want my saber to look pinkish at all so should I just go with indigo?

Ebony4ndIvory Offline New Member Posts: 5 Thank you received: 2	I have a 12w+ purple jade and it is definitely purple, until the battery starts to get low and it slowly shifts to a pink. Its a good indicator to stop playing with it and charge it.

Indigo is just a darker version of purple, and preferred by many dark side wielders. I think it doesnt go well with the light side of the force as much as it does with the dark side. I wouldn't want any pink either, and I actually was wondering if indigo or plain purple would be best for my next saber purchase (likely to be a fury). That indigo looks like the way to go, I love the sample pictures!

Now don't get me wrong, the purple LED is amazing too. I'd probably end up doing the mainstream thing and get that if I ever order a reborn. It seems like for a darker, more brooding purple, indigo is the perfect choice.

Jackson referred to it in one of the movie commentaries as the "violet light"), while SF indigo is more of a "royal" purple.

All three are beautiful colours IMO (if you include Pink). I have Purple and an incoming Indigo (and a Pink on a Wish-List). For your scenario though, is it an option to go QC and have both? I view Purple as a neutral shade centred between both sides of the Force. When influenced by actions of Light, for me, Pink represents this and when lured by the Dark, Indigo projects this emotion. The similarities between Purple & Indigo are subtle however (to go against the majority grain) feel that Pink shouldn't be dismissed either.

Execute66 demonstrates a great Pink with his Monarch, much like xyster does with his Consular. Another example I'd like to draw is Brax's Indigo Bane.
