I know that the diffusion film in thin-neck saber blades come without glue. However, I noticed that if I seat a blade all the way down in the socket of my Exhalted, the diffusion film is crushed, and wrinkled right above the emitter. It looks like it is about 1/4 inch too long.

This has probably been posted before, but is there a safe, efficient way of trimming it without making a mess out it?

Yeah, if you slide just a little bit out of the end of the blade, then use a razor or other high-quality, sharp knife (such as an exacto-knife) you can trim it down, then push it back in, and that should fix that crinkle issue. :)

That makes sense. I will report back when it is done! I can't do my review until I have a blade that shows the saber at its best.

Thanks man!

The wrap on my Prodigal Son blade was just a bit too long, I had to trim it. I did exactly what Knytiri suggested and it turned out perfectly. Good luck!
