So I'm brand new to all this and have tons of questions and ideas. So as the title says I'm thinking of Modding my champion (prodigal son) later on down the line and I wanna know if some of things I want to add are possible. So I want to eventually switch out the soundboard and led to make it a hero class. Am I'm being a bit of a dreamer here?

Act on the dream and make it a reality. Achievable by DIY and achievable by sending back to SF for upgrade also. If it can be gutted, it can be rebuilt. Haven't done it personally ( I remain a dreamer on that front), check out the Saber DIY Section for inspiration.

Live the dream!! When I started this I was a n00b and now I have successfully installed 2 sabers by myself ( with a couple more soon to be in progress).

Lots of options out there to add new fonts, FoC, Auxiliary switches, lit switches, 9hange LEDs, crystal chambers, etc... I recommend you check out what is out there, read the forum, google, checkout the sound boards available, read the manuals and power up your soldering iron :)

The only other thing I can say is be patient. Take your time and it will pay off.
There must be both dark and light.
