Hello everyone !

Just a quick question.
I am about to order a Redeemer, which I want weathered, but I find the weathering done on other customer's orders way to dark and strong (youtube reviews). However, I encountered the same worry before buying my Reliant, and was able to chose the "Grey weathering", which ended up being lighter and perfect.

My question is the following : do you think / know if it is possible to pick "weathered" on a Redeemer order and then ask for a Grey weathering in the details, and actually get it that way ?

Thank you very much for your advices !

You can put minor customizations in the order comments. If you are sure if they will do it, email CS and ask that they confirm it will be done that way.

Eg: i had a purple champion and asked they install a red-lit switch. They did it no problem.

Cosmetic finishes such as this won't be accommodated by CS/Production. Tried the same about June 2016 for a V3 (grey weathered) Prodigal Son and the reply was No. Unless policy acceptance/deviation has changed since, it is worth a shot by email to CS but if your wanting a different finish and if the custom powdercoats or other default finishes don't cater to you, your best bet would be to either order as the V2 finish and sand off/soften to recreate what you like or as the V1 and add your own weathering.

Was there a reason given as to why the Grey Weathering disappeared? If memory serves it was still available not too long ago, but I don't recall seeing any announcement of scrapping it. I would imagine it'd still be available through the Customs Shop, no?
