TOPIC: New Saber possibly acting up?

I just got my saber today but sometimes when I turn it on, it turns on fine, but the motion activation doesnt activate nor does the impact sounds. And when I plug it in it doesnt give a indication its plugged in, and the charger does have power in it cause the charger is lit. Is something wrong with my saber?
UPDATE : now its not reacting at all sound wise other then the soundboard activation and the normal standby saber sound, even at max sensitivity setting nothing |

Try going through the setup menu (I'm assuming a champion tier)
Power off the saber Insert kill key Pull kill key out Wait for the "Sabercore" boot voice Hold the switch button down for about 4 seconds till you get a beep Walk through the setting menu's (Quick press of the switch to cycle through settings, long hold to set and move to next setting) (I Recommend a motion setting of 6, and clash setting of 7 to start with then tune to your tastes) See if that fixes the issue. |

Thank you, I knwo how to work the menu and that still didnt work, its\like a hit and miss for the sounds to work... |

do you get the saber hum and ignition/retraction sounds?
Any "static" or "pops"? Contact Customer service and at least get the ball rolling on a possible RMA while you are testing out possible issues and easy non-invasive fixes. |

It hums and ignites fine, i dont see static other then what light setting i have it at,but there are 2 pops as i pull out the kill key and 1 pop as i push the button |

All my sabers definitely do that popping sound so that's not the issue. Maybe it's a soundboard issue, definitely RMA worthy, if you can get a video of the movement and clash failing that might be helpful too. Also just to be clear the hum is running like it supposed to but it just doesn't clash or swing?

My Bastion did the same thing. Customer Service had me send it back. It's on its way to Saberforge right now.

Yes but I think I found the issue, i tried charging it for a longer time then I did the first time and now its working perfectly fine, I guess it was a issue of it not having enough charge? |

Honestly that doesn't really track, charge level shouldn't affect the motion and clash effects and generally these problems worsen with time as opposed to fixing themselves. My guess is it will start doing the problem again sooner rather than later and at that point I would send it back to saberforge so they can fix it,if you already emailed CS then I would just print out the RMA and fill it out so you have it and if they tell you they'll fix it the whole process really shouldn't take too long. I hope I'm wrong and I hope it stays fixed though, its a beautiful saber.

Yea if it happens again I'll try to make a video and show it to them , plus it will take a while with them to reply...lol. I sent a email about a custom service last week and no reply since |

Haha yeah waiting for customer service to answer is like pulling teeth but at least it's only cause they get so many emails and not because they are bad. I always count the days until 3-4 business go by haha

Ok yea something is wrong with my saber...its starting to flash red, as if the blue part of the LED is failing...that's not good is it? Its more noticeable with the higher level of the optical frequency but its still flashing even at a solid color... |

The blue's run at a higher voltage than the Reds, so if your battery is low you will see the blues start to dim or even flash before the reds do.
Put it on the charger till the light turns green (might take a few hours) |

But you said you charged your saber up before? It should not be that low on battery unless you were using it for a few hours straight after charging plus it should not be flickering on light setting 1. Sounds like an RMA to me for certain

I didn't charge it for long, like 20 minutes. |
