How long does it normally take for the battery to charge/re-charge for the champion kit and will the light on the charger change colors when it's fully charged like from red to green?

I have personally never timed it.

BUT, that being said I've run a saber down to the point of the LEDs nearly going out, put it on the charger before bed, and come back 8 hours later and it was charged.

Typically it seems like 4-5 hours for a full charge once the battery is low enough to really notice it, and maybe up to 8 hours if the battery is nearly dead?

Should be about 4-10 hours, depending how low the battery is and what charger you're using.

The standard 18650 charger that comes with the Warrior sabers is dirt slow. I had a battery on that for about 14 hours before just taking it off. I ordered a Nitecore charger off Amazon (free Prime > TCSS shipping) and it took an almost-dead cell from ~7% to full in just over 7 hours. Not sure of any performance difference between that charger and the 3A "smart charger" for the recharge port sabers, but you should be looking at about the same, maybe a bit longer.

With the smart charger I've never had to charge for longer than 3 hours, but I must confess I doubt I've ever let my saber get less than 25% battery

@Lord270
For the second part of your question: yes, when it's fully charged the light changes from red to green.

@SadiraOrphesu
How do you see the percentage of the battery load?

I mean you can buy battery meters, but there isn't any built in way to check battery level besides the fact that the LED dims, I'm just estimating because I've used my saber for a few hours straight but I've never let it get to the point where the saber was starting to go out cause of super low battery so I'm estimating definitely less than 50% but not that low.
