I was just wondering how will I know if I got this LED with my Bane order that I ordered over the Father's Day sale?

You wont. The led's are not scheduled to be released until ASP is open, and even then it'll probably see a 5 dollar or so bump in price for the higher tier led.
Edit: on this note, you can purchase them in advance for an additional $25 but they are not available in all colors yet. |

Pretty much any color that requires Amber is not currently available for the added pre-release cost. So Amber (obviously), Lime Green, Blood Orange, Yellow...
I have a Green 12w+ for my Prodigal Son and I got my brother a 12w+ Light Blue for his Redeemer that are currently on order. |

Ok so forgive my ignorance. But those who got the 12w + had to ask and pay directly or is this just with the kickstarter asp part campaign.

No apologies necssary and no ignorance involved my friend. We all have questions
 I honestly wont know how to tell until it arrives and i can compare the two modules. Others do have it though and may be able to help you (us) out. I merely asked about it while I was ordering thru etsy. They told me about which colours were available and if I wanted one I had to pay an extra 25 beans. So after I made my order. I sent a separate PayPal payment for the $50 (for 2) and in the notes I referenced the order number and that it was for the 12w+ upgrade and the colours wanted. |

No problem at all.
I have 2 12w+ coming right now. But will be another 4 weeks until I receive it as they are going in to new sabers being built, one for me and one for my brother. When I get it I will compare to my current 12w .But I think there is a picture somewhere on the forum of Mr. Lane showing the difference. They said $25 upgrade right now as they are in only pre-release stage and still have things to figure out with the Amber LEDs. Once they have all the colours ready to go it will only be a $5 upgrade to get a 12w+ over the regular 12w. That's what I was told thru etsy conversation. |

Moving the dies closer together under the existing lens seems like a much less expensive method than designing a new lens, and the results, while not glaring, are quite noticeable. The thing that really gets my attention is the even hue of the color all the way to the tip of the blade. Can't wait to get a saber with one in it...for comparison purposes of course.

It would be nice to get a collection of all current and future potential colors sticky'd on the FAQ about 12w+ LED's. At least that will help make it easier to just point people to where info is available on the topic. Might as well jus have a 12w+ LED post separate since it's a hot topic.

I just upgraded my recently placed Etsy Order to a 12W+, woohoo!!!
At first I was like... I can wait til it's less...NOPE! Saw those comparison pics and I thought what every saber enthusiast thinks: Take my money! ...lol. Anyways, very excited. Prodigal Son Champion Crystal Reveal 12W+ Green 37" blade Viridium I thought about the 32" blade, I'm 5'10 and my previous Makoto was that long. I think the extra 4-5 inches will add a little mmph. We'll see! I'll post pics/vid review in a few weeks.

I've recently placed an order and put a special request in for the 12w+. I see some of you emailed SF after and then sent a separate $25 payment. I suppose I shall do the same to confirm the 12w+ makes it into the ones I ordered!

yup, definitely confirm it with them and send the 25$! It will become standard in the coming months, but its worth paying a little more ahead to not have to wait even more!
