This question is specifically intended for the Archon. In the Special Instructions section can I ask for the control box towards the top to not be added to the saber hilt during production?

I'm not entirely sure, but probably not. At least from Saberforge. From people that do custom work on hilts, they are the ones that will be most likely to do that.

You could ask in the order notes, but it is removable anyway (held on by 2 screws), so... might was well keep it in case you decide down the road that you do want it.

It's removable via the 2 screws. You'll need to replace the screws with something, as that holds the upper shroud on.
