Not to steal Brax's thunder on his thread here (sorry man - had to show them off), but he went for framed art; I opted for custom flags:
Adore them.  Edit: AND I just noticed that it doesn't say "new member" under my handle any longer. Yay! I'm no longer a total noob!

Hi Rapine, I wouldn't say you were a Noob in the saber community, not with your experience. Now me on the other hand, I was only going to hang around here long enough to sorta "pay my dues" for the help I received from the then current members, but 1900+ posts later I'm still here! Those are some neat flags, a bit on the Imperial side for my tendencies but neat all the same! For Tyeth |

Hey! It would be no fun if they all looked the same! I like the effect created by the flags. I still have some blank spaces that could be filled nicely by something like that.
 Congrats on leaving "noob" status behind! But, as we all know, that is a label the forum engine assigns, and only refers to post count. Not experience in the saber world. I don't think I could build a saber from scratch, but a lot of folks who come here already can from post number 1. The only thing that really matters as far as count are the first 5 (because I have to approve them), and the substance of the rest.

Actually, there is an AT-ST in the picture above my "work from home" station. It is chasing a bunch of soldiers, and there is a Star Destroyer in the distance behind it.

What you should do is look into either a green or RGB keyboard of any kind but program the keys to shoot across the keyboard as if a TIE Fighter was firing.

Lightsaber colours are dependant on the Force User's meditation on the Kyber Crystal the saber uses, but you all know this already with all the recent Canon changes to lightsaber lore. However, if you are a BMF then you get purple! Sub-question answer: The different coloured blaster bolts are due to the varying quality (and quantity) of the Tibanna Gas which is used as part of the ammunition. Imperial starships could carry larger stores of quality Tibanna , whereas Rebel supplies were smaller and less refined. (Tibanna Gas was mined at Bespin Cloud City). Also I thought buzz_oates ^^ was gonna suggest having LEGO Stormtroopers hiding under the keyboard keys! For Tyeth |

I am looking forward to that too! I have been thinking a lot about where it would have the most effect. Be assured, that when people walk in to my office, or even glance through the door from outside, it will be placed for maximum visibility, and the visual impact it deserves! |
