Hi guys! Big dilemma
I'm waiting for the next 15% discount to finally order my saberstaff. Meanwhile, I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna take 12W Light Blue or 12W Cyan. I've always loved the Cyan, no matter the movie or the game... Problem is, on the pictures of the Sinister Prophecy, The cyan is giving the impression that it is less powerful than the light blue! I really want Cyan, but I want a lightsaber that will show well on pictures AND videos. Do you guys have pictures/videos of the cyan? That would help me to make up my mind about that! Otherwise I'm gonna go for the good and old blue, color that never failed me! |

Hey bud!
Darth Mario chronicled somewhere else that cyan didnt get the justice it deserved with pics or videos. He has a saber with it and says its a good balance between blue and green with a little more on the blue side. Hope that helps! p.s. - My wife just ordered a Sinister Prophecy in cyan. She is pretty stoked! |

She has a reason to be haha! Sorry for repeating questions/answers! I'm definitely gonna try to find that post (like finding a needle in a stack of hay)!
I'm starting to think I'm gonna go for a Weathered SP staff with 12W Light Blue LEDS. From all the pictures I've seen so far Weathered hilts with bright colors are giving an out of this world effect/look. I still have time to think about it though! Thank for the info mate, I appreciate! |

Hi there,
I don't think there'll be a big difference in brightness, as said, on pictures and videos, the adjustments don't give really justice of the real color or brightness, I always keep in mind that the color is always better in real than in video/picture.

Yea on darth Marius out une channel he said that, it was the video about his lightsabers collection and the thumbnail is a rainbow of sabers.
His YouTube channel is pretty easy to find, just search for saberforge and look for any videos uploaded by Shameem Moshrefzadeh (probably butchered the name, sorry) |

When you order, ask for them to install quick disconnects, with your cyan. That way if you decide you'd rather have the light blue, you just have to buy the 12w from the store and swap between them. I'm about to send mine in for the quick disconnect myself.

The problem with the clean finish ( in my opinion ) is that it's easy to add little scratchs on it, only by rubbing it with another object (almost anything). Because of the color you sadly can't miss them! I've had my reliant for a few months and it looks like it survived the great force war. On the other end, we can't say the same thing about weathered hilts; they already look like they were found below the ruins of korriban! |

Yea scratching was one of my biggest worries, and one of the reasons why I went with weathering on my saber.

 lol.Whenever someone asks my opinion which blue to go with, I ask them which movie blue they're trying to get closest to. For example, if they want a ANH Luke blue, I'd suggest a light blue or arctic blue. If they want RotS Obi-Wan, then deep blue is the way to go. I originally installed a cyan on my MR Anakin, thinking it would be a good light blue, and while the cyan is very nice, it is a little too green for my taste, I personally prefer a slightly bluer hue, so I don't think I'll be going with a cyan again for a movie blade color. |

Well, you don't have to do anything
I personally feel like the deep blue is the closest to the shades of blue seen in Revenge of the Sith. Don't get me wrong, medium blue is gorgeous as well, and at the end of the day it's all down to individual preferences
