Anyone here know any prominent sabersmiths with innovative designs that offer duel-worthy sabers of ergonomic size? (That is, under 1.5 inches) I already know of SF, obviously, and VV, and I've browsed around saberz a bit. Ultrasabers is not quite small enough for me - more like a club than a saber (no offense to them, because their designs are awesome). I'm just looking to explore every possibility I can find.

Yeah, I have looked at TCSS before. I'm thinking I may just use a 3d design program to come up with a saber and find a smith willing to make it.

Be prepared to spend a good chunk of change and wait years to get it. I don't know sabersmiths with a waiting list shorter than about 17 months and I've seen customs that took as long as 3 years to produce.
Also, lots of sabersmiths won't take the commission unless they like the design, and most likely they're going to want (or need) to tweak your design. |
