I'd like to make a space to talk about how we display our sabers.

I'll start by describing my plans *waiting patiently* for my display.

I plan on setting up on a cherry wood "couch" table with a raised glass surface. I have a very large fleet of X-Wing minatures that i plan to setup in some sort of formation or battle scene with my sabers displayed amongst or below them. I also have some art i picked up at NY comic con for the wall to complete my little Star Wars shrine.

I move to a new apartment this weekend so I promise some pictures after i get everything unboxed and setup again with or withour my sabers :)

I'd love to hear about your plans or any experiances you have had displaying yours including any experiances you have had ehen you display it is on your hip.

Sounds like an awesome display.

Part of the reason I went in on the ASP preorders was the free stand. I really like SF's design for stands. I'm not 100% sure where to put it, though. Part of me really wants to modify it into a wall mount, almost like a display rack.

I was thinking of modifying the cover tech clip into a wall mount and hang the saber vertically. It would be blade down (if it was mounted with the blade) but it might still be cool.

I don't have a ton of room, so I'll probably display my lightsaber Maz Kanata style: in a wooden box in my basement.

@seraphyn, you could just take the covertech belt system, and mount it to the wall. That way you would not have to modify the covertech knob.
No matter what happens now, you shouldn't be afraid. Because I know today has been the most perfect day I've ever seen.

Haha that's clever! Personally I don't have much room either, so I'll probably just display it on top of my dresser along with a couple Funko Pop! Figures. Hopefully one day I can make a sweet display like your plan!

I don't but I would love to, display my sabers in an orderly fashion. I leave the blades in the hilt and all of sabers are leaning against the wall / furniture. The only advantage with this approach is it's damn easy to just come and grab whichever saber you feel like at that precise point in time.

I plan to leave the blades in and hang them on the wall so if I feel like it I can turn them on for a night light or just grab them right off the wall and play with them
The force is strong in this one.but the dark side is always there

To Seraphyn303,

My good friend Brax has posted the picture I was referring to about the Shoreline Kayak Paddle Clips!
The clips are made of rubber and can hold Sabers (or paddles!) up to 1.25 inches in diameter, and won't mark the Sabers as they're made of rubber.

Kind regards

For Tyeth

Oh my display...I have a Phoenix Stand with the blade in one slot and my Disciple taking centre stage in the middle slot, and the stand is on top of one of my SF T-shirts displaying the logo! It will expand in the future.

Cool. I was going to ask about those actually :)

I was expecting to mount it vertically, are those clips strong enough for that?

Hi Seraphyn303,

I think they should be strong enough, as they can take the weight of a paddle (similar to a Saber's weight). With the clips being rubber they grip also (but don't scratch!). But as I don't have these clips I'd contact Brax and just get his opinion, I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving you the info about them. I do like these clips, and maybe try and get some black anodised screws to fix them so they look like one piece as well!

Sorry I have been distracted slightly the past 24hrs, I think I sent you a PM about these, I hope you got it, (I vaguely remember replying to you).

I plan on getting this rather inexpensive ($60 Canadian) glass cabinet from Ikea for my computer room/office.

I really like this idea, so I made a Hobby Lobby run! Picked up an unfinished box, extra hardware, poly foam, and some fabric remnants for ~$25. I used a 40% off one item coupon from their website (and they applied it to the most expensive thing!).

I'll use a wood burner to put some designs on the box (probably some Aurebesh and some Jedi symbols) and stain it. Then I'll use the foam and fabric to make a nice interior for my saber, though I'll wait until it comes to make sure I get a proper fit.

I heard Korbanth might have some extra Graflex 2.0 kits available, and if I can snag one I'll have to make another Hobby Lobby run (I saw some chests that have a very Maz Kanata feel to them).
