I love the design of Guardian. It is simple but prefect. Recently I realized an issue with the shroud. The edges marked in the picture are extremely sharp. Harming my fingers are not my main issue but consider that if that edge hooks up in something (like jedi robe etc) and bends. How can I fix it? Does SF provides spare shroud. Is it easy to replace it (I thing you just unscrew the Covertech knob? Correct.





Any Guardian owners please advice.

To be honest, I have the same question! My brother's guardian received two good hits on the shroud during a duel! The result: The shroud is in a pitiful state! He would like to replace it! For as long as I've had the chance to manipulate the saber, I can confirm the shroud is holding in place because of the covertech knob! Release it and you can slide the shroud off the hilt! Still, you need to get a new one! I recommend you to write to saberforge (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) about it! They will have an answer!

This is something I'd also like to know, for when mine arrives.
Why don't you remove the covertech knob and see if the shroud just slips off? Or even email SF directly to find out

What's the average turnaround time with email? I'm new to the forums, though I've been lurking and studying for months now.

I've emailed them about a potential purchase with two questions. It has been about 3 days since I sent the email. I'm sure they are swamped with new interest in the new pre-release sabers. Just curious as to when I can expect to hear back from them.

Usually 2-3 days. Sometimes sooner. The same is true for Facebook messages, since the same guy runs both.
