Damn bro, you ever think you got some big hands? Lol, it's so small, it would be great to use as an off-hand or a saber to used by a child. That's why I'm getting one; this saber is my favorite so far for the apprentice line. I'm gonna get one eventually for my little bro.

Now I'm really curious to see a length comparison between the apprentice hilts.

Would these be a good size (more appropriate size) for kids?

Check out my Youngling thread bro, we talked a lot about the apprentice sabers being good sabers for children because of their diminutive size and diameter. If you get one for one of your kids, make sure to get a 26in blade cuz the 32 and 37 would be too big for them. Hope this helps

Isn't that Oracle advertised as 11 inches long?

It sure does look small in your hands. That is the saber my son wants next. He's only 14 and I don't think this will be as big of an issue with him. :)

Yeah but I also have to order shoto blade size since I want to practice with this saber with both hands as well. It's very appealing for versatility in saber combat.

I'm in the same boat as Froboy696, I'm used to a hilt that I can use both with a single hand and with both.

The Oracle is without a doubt my favorite of the 4 new apprentice hilts. I love the emitter. I must admit I wasn't expecting it to be that small though. It's rather impressive!

Amazing little thing :)!

Hoping for a little feedback on the Oracle, for anyone who owns it.

Long story short, I want to get a second saber for off-hand use; my four-year-old son recently got really into Star Wars and lightsabers and said he's like one of his own; and the giveaway is just kind of a flashing arrow sign pointing to the site :P

The Oracle, by the images I've seen, is a smaller hilt. Seems perfect for my off-hand use or for a kid to use as a two-hander just for fun (not that I've ever seen any serious duelists at the age of 4 or 5). Obviously, I'd supervise and be a responsible adult around him and not let him "Force Throw" it at his cousins, but it'd be something of a tradition for him to grow into, since he loves it.

My only concern would be the retention screw for the blade. I'm not super familiar with it, but from the images, it seems like the blade plug sticks out from the emitter and the retention screw seems fairly close to the edge of the emitter as opposed to most of the blades I've seen where there's plenty of depth in the emitter for the blade to sink into.

Would you guys who own an Oracle be able to comment on how sturdy the blade is in the hilt when screwed down? I'm sure it's completely fine, as I'm generally just paranoid with retention screws and I know it, but I was hoping someone might have a little feedback on this saber for both kid-friendly and practical dueling purposes.
Literally. The worst.
