Got my second initiate saber in the mail today (first was my sentinel,) so here comes review number 2.

This is an excellent hilt. I particularly like the emmiter and textured switch section + pommel. It has a very unique, modern feel to it.

It's also well ballanced. I look forward to putting the electronics and blade in it and see how well it spins.
It'd be perfect for dual wielding, especially with yellow blades for a sentinel feel.

Overall I'm quite satisfied with this one, and now have the urge to get one weathered with a bronze stingray wrap for its counterpart.

Also, for the DIYers, here's a pic to give you an idea of how long it is, as well as the open internal area that goes up to the choke.

I like this apprentice saber out of the 4 new designs. Definitely has a modern flash gun/camera styling with the knurled switch and pommel. The blade plug won't sit as deep in the emitter once the LED module gets installed, does that effect how you feel about the overall look you have with the pictures shown? Otherwise excellent choice with the grey wrap. Empty hilt is the only way to go, IMO, for any of my future purchases. Cool saber Muns.

Ottomatix, I think it'll be fine if it looks slightly different. Chances are I'll keep the blade attached for a wall mount when not in use.

Revisiting consideration towards this Hilt has increased favourably. It's difficult to imagine the blade colour being anything other than the brilliance of a Yellow illumination. At 11", will prove to be an ideal companion piece.
