I'm still working on mocking up the buttons and what not, but I like the look and feel of it. I hope Kr Sabers offer the coupler for it soon. I'm not impressed with the one it comes with due to the fact it lacks venting for sound and its not easy to change it over to dual sabers. Also it has zero premade switches for it, no blade retention (neither does the mpp) no led retention. the emitters are very rough unfinished aluminum, the polish doesn't match the emitter well, with that I'm gonna say, its going to take work and its gonna be a very long term project for me.

based off that....

I'm going to go with ... I'll wait on that one.

No blade retention on the MPP?? Not a huge deal I guess, just drill and tap but seems like an oversight.

The top screw on the black switch plate is suppose to be the blade screw I guess, but it's a 4-40 screw and short, I drilled it out and tapped to a 8-32 screw, it does the trick. The rest of the mpp is very quick, if your doing a nb3 you can use that all in 1 battery, speaker MHS V6 from the custom saber shop.

I read the "problem" with the blade retention screw. Maybe just to clear it up before I receive mine

1. Where is the blade retention screw hole in the hilt?
2. What is the provided screw? Is it correct / adequate?
3. If the provide screw is not right, then which is? Do we need to drill a wider hole?

The retention screw is the small 4-40 in front the cone shaped screw on the switch plate, the one that came with it was too short, if you could find a long enough 4-40 it would work acceptable I suppose, but I don't trust a 4-40 for more than decoration, I personally chose to drill it out and tap it a 8-32. Carefull when drilling it, the switch plate is plastic and mine cracked, luckily I have replicated one left from blast tech I plan to use

@Vechaljian - Rather than 3d print the whole chassis for the K4 im just going to print the speaker/RP combo and build the rest of the chassis from scratch. Thinking about putting a crystal inside. Anyhoo, Just thought I'd ask if there were any roadbumps on the internals for install I should be aware of. Looks like it should be pretty straightforward but figured I'd ask before going full speed into one :)

I did have to sand down the switch card to get it to fit in the groove better, but outide of that i haven't seen anything that to me looked liek a stumbling block.

Yeah its pretty straight forward. if I had to do it again I would make my chassis from some 7/8 thin wall blade tubing, but still happy with the way it came out.

I did end up taking mine back apart and drilling a hole through the pommel to gain access to the recharge port. got tired of unscrewing it every time I wanted to show it off. gonna make a kill key with a flat polished aluminum disc, I'll post pictures once I get that done.

I'll be curious to see that easy access key kill. For now I plan to go the unscrew route. I'm thinking about doing a crystal chamber so that would kind of support that as a reveal when powering on similar to a lot of flex builds.

Blade stock chassis is the plan, with some FLAIR of course.

I played around with both threading it up into the Pommel and just pushing it up tight against it, I went with plan B so I could still unscrew the pommel since it sits tight due to the fact I used 7/8 blade stock as spacer between the 3d printed stuff it does not move once the pommel is tight. so I can still flip the speaker/rp out of the way and get to the SD card.
I used a bit that bevel's so I would get a nice finished hole.

The o-ring is so the kill key sits nice and center.

I did a bad thing and finished one of my own sabers between commissions... I know, I know, I'm a terrible human being...

Korbanth K4
Spark Color2
Tri-Cree XP-E2 RB/B/W (main color set is both blues at full with a dash of white for a soft blue)
Panasonic 18650 Li-Ion
20mm Speaker
Switch craft RP (Internal)
7/8" emitter (7/8" OD 32" blade)
full 3d Printed chassis .87"

Haven't weathered the hilt beyond the emitter cap yet, I still can't decide if I wand full on ANH weathering or, exile, or ROTS.....

I can't stop playing with this hilt.

LOVE it, something about thin neck sabers and a cannon hilt.....
