Finally got my set to finish my Graflex, Now I am happy with my Graflex. these bunny ears work great for 1 inch blade as well as 7/8, so if y our doing a 1 inch conversion I highly recommend these.

Nice! your gonna like it, it has some fine details the 2.0 doesn't in the spring band, I really liked mine. I also lied when I said I was done, I ended up getting replica of the beer tab and its pin, (I like the finish better than the 2.0's pin) the pin was a accidental find when I was search eBay for stuff. I also did the glass eye mod, filed it down and sanded it flat, threads right in, I'm just waiting for a new blade retention screw to get here. Which wasn't easy to find, hollow 10-32 set screws are very rare to find over 1/8 in length . I'll use it under the glass eye and then screw the eye over it.
Some picts

LOVE it! I gotta get the screw kit on my ESB flex, I just have no time for any of my own sabers :(

Could you not just cut a longer set screw, lopping the bottom off so it was hollow all the way through?

Yeah I thought about doing that, but I got lucky and found a pack of 10-32 x 3/16 of these out of Canada, guess they were used on old 70-80 rc cars for something, I didn't ask. Coast 8.50 for the 6.

I have the long version flathead that above the glass eye, but I don't trust using a flat blade a whole lot, in my experience they tend slip a lot, and I'm not scratching my Flex.

UPDATE: I went ahead and gave in to cutting a 10-32 X 1/4 down to 3/16 (how deep the hole is) and cleaning it up with a die, works great thanks for the suggestion, I'm still glad I ordered the black ones from Canada, think the black will give more of a appearance of depth than the silver one, but at least I have my proof of concept :)

Is anyone every truly done with a flex? :P

Speaking of more flex, I'm still strapped from dropping coin on the Korbanth run, so kinda hoping that ANH scratch dent your selling hangs around a bit longer...

Anyone know what the hole size is for the glass eye on the Graflex 2.0? I'm trying to do the see through glass eye mod but the threads for the hole weren't machined very well and I can't thread the glass eye in. I'm thinking i can re-tap the hole but I don't have any taps that fit.

Oh, and I put the TGS bunny ears on the what was once my ESB flex now my TFA flex lol.

You're right, they really do look much better.

So, need to put the slot screws on still and order a shine through eye, finish painting the chassis, might add a couple more accent LEDs... been a work in progress for a while. I spend like 10-15 minutes at a time on this one between commissions..... And my poor MPP is sitting all empty and bare still....

Got it to work! I found another old set of taps and presto, the glass eye threads in perfectly!

Told you it was nice.. :) You going to use the longer slot screw for blade retention at the front or do like I did with a hollow 10-32 when you do your glass eye? I've been thinking about drilling the set screw hole larger, tapping and getting another hollow set screw to let more light through. I have a extra long tapered slot screw for the front if you plan you go that way. Are you going to put the rivet style screw in the bunny ears later?

I was actually thinking I'd drill a hole down the middle of the screw stem on a thumb screw eye. We will see though, not sure what I'm going to do on that yet. I have a slotted screw set I still need to put on there, and I tried to get the rivet style screw on there, but it wouldn't hold right, so stayed with the hex screw for now.

I tried twice to drill down the center of the glass eye style set screws, I came to the conclusion, I need a drill press to do it perfectly centered, otherwise it just looks crooked.
When I did the rivet I took a drill bit just slightly smaller than the head of the rivet, broke a plastic hanger and drilled into it, then just used it like a driver, It did the job for me.

I was going to do it with some super tiny Dremel drill bits.

What's ruining a glass a eye in the gran scheme of things? :p

I ruined the 2 spares that I have (as far as I'm concerned) they still function but they are not centered so if you look right down them the hole is off centered, now all I have left are 2, 1 clear 1 dark, and I'll leave them be, pretty happy with my work around for when, I want a glass eye that lights :P
I'll give you this one advice, heat up the glass eye a little and pop out the lens before you start drilling, if you drill through to the lens, the drill bit mark is magnified :O then reattach later, may not even glue then.

Here it is with new black hollow 10-32 screw, it does in fact give it a bit more depth than the silver, and looks good when off/ also good when on, happy now :P if there is such a thing when it comes to a Flex.
