Just figured I'd post some photos of the Rebel star Lime LED I got today, along with SaberForge / Cree Green LED. All photos taken in a dark room.
Aside from color, this is a nice comparison of the optics of the two LEDs.

Here is 12W SF Green on an Infinity Edge V3 blade.

Rebel Star Lime on Infinity Edge V3.

Side by side, the short blade is a thin wall, trans white polyC blade from TCSS, long one is Infinity Edge V3.

I wouldn't say either color is better than the other, I'm just showing the difference. I am happy with both =]
Which one do you like better?

God I'm freaking in love with my Rebel Lime LED. It's such a unique, gorgeous, and surprisingly bright color. Yours looks very yellow in that picture. Damn cameras failing at getting the true color :P

Yeah, I meant to put on there that it looks greener in person but it looks like I forgot. lol

Either way, it illustrates the point that it's a more yellowy green than regular green.

You can put your own together or order the complete piece from TCSS. All you really have to do to put it together is stick on your thermal tape and solder 2 joints. the lens and lens holder just press together.

I think it's actually like $2.50 cheaper to order one already put together.

Fair enough, TCSS hasn't added the lime LED specs to the rebel yet, but just for the record, if you want details about the rebel LEDs or the whole datasheet you can go to the LuxeonStar website.

Anyways, Lime is 3 watts. Run it at 3.0Vf, 1,000mAh.

Yeah I was trying to emphasize how surprisingly bright single Rebels are via PM, but just so everyone knows, they are bright! I mean, you can see in my original post how bright it is and that's just a single 3W LED. Just because it's a 3W light, that doesn't mean it looks 1/4 as bright as SF 12W LEDs.

To anyone who doubts the power of a single 3W LED:

This is a single Blue Cree LED.

And under my brightest light. I would have done daylight but it's 0030 so there isn't any =P

This isn't a SaberForge LED / hilt (which is why it's in the "other sabers" gallery.

But yes, you can straight up order the LED from the LuxeonStar website or The Custom Saber Shop (TCSS) It's a Rebel Star Lime LED.

How hard easy would that be to wire for a complete novice?

That blue looks freaking awesome as well and only 3W! What kind of blade is on the blue saber?

This isn't lime green but it involves it.

This is a tri-rebel lime green in series with a red orange LED to form yellow. There is some separation of color but that is a result of the camera. In person, it makes a remarkable yellow!

Just to add more to the "lime" convo.
Yesterday I received my order of a tri-rebel lime/red-orange/PCAmber and also a single lime LED.
The thought was to test out lime+amber but if this didnt give the desired colour then I could fall back on Lime+RO.

The single Lime was used to replace an unknown "3W green" led in my sons saber.
The tri-rebel was used to replace an Red/Red/Green cree XPE.
Below are the comparison shots.
1st: The unknown green vs the lime. The extra brightness of the lime kind of resulted in more flare at the base of the blade. I quite like the unusual lime colour:
Lime vs green compare

2nd: The Lime+PCAmber mix on the left saber compared to the Red+Green Cree mix.
Two yellows??
Strangely the "yellow" on the right now looks pink in the photo, not sure why that is but it didn't look pink in person but nor did it look anywhere near as nice a yellow as the Lime+Amber mix. In comparison the Red+green mix looked to be a peachy colour.

Also, I uploaded a video of a daylight test to try to show the nice yellow that this colour mix produces:
