I decided to get my first lightsaber in advance of the movie coming out in December. I intend to get my robe and tunic put together in time as well. After waiting years to get a saber, I justified getting one now that there are a bunch of new movies coming out.

I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never handled a good quality saber in person, but this Phoenix has really blow me away. I posted earlier that there were a few imperfections in the shroud, but I'm over it now. Saberforge has done an excellent job with this model.

The weight of the saber and the quality of the construction exceeded my expectations. I really feels like I'm holding a real piece of Jedi hardware.

These are my thoughts for now. This is my first but certainly not my last saber from SF. Here are some pics I took when I got home. I tried to capture the beauty of this saber. Taking a good picture of the blade turned out to be pretty tricky. I did my best to capture the true color of the deep blue LED.

Yup, that's a 12w+. I have a regular 12w in that color and it doesn't illuminate as well as that puppy. Thanks for sharing, your Phoenix looks great.

That saber, and that color are a fantastic combination. Congrats on a fine weapon.

As for the imperfections, it occurs to me that the slight sanding it would take to get rid of the sharp edges would also take care of those pesky imperfections. Two birds killed with a single piece of fine-grit sandpaper, and then it is absolutely perfect!

Thanks! I used a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 lens.
