I just got my minty fresh first saber in. It is a 12w Champion green hilt with the Viridian sound font.
I ordered from Etsy on 6/18 it went into production on 7/4 and I had it in my hand by 7/17 not bad at all! I expected a slightly damaged box from other reviews, but USPS, there is no excuse for this. Luckily it was well packed and the saber arrived in perfect condition. In my former life I was an Architect (now a stay at home dad) and we used these tubes all the time for drawing, and my advice would be, to switch to Fed Ex. Yes they are more expensive, but their triangle tubes are much stronger and I have never seen one damaged like that.

Onto the good stuff,
This piece is truly a work of art. Upon opening the bubble wrap I could see right away that the quality is exquisite! I charged it right away and it only took a couple of hours to fully charge. I don't yet have a regular neck saber to compare it to, but it is extremely sturdy and feels more solid than I could have imagined. I plan to mainly use it for display, costume, and to play around with, so I don't foresee this one taking too much of a beating. As you can see in the photos it is composed of the modular ASP system, which is really cool.

Anyway I will let the photos speak for the saber. Darth Mario already did such an amazing video review, so I focused mostly on detail shots. I highly recommend this saber if you are a fan of ROTJ Luke. Aside from my kickstarter pledge, I will definitely be ordering from Saberforge again. I am thinking something more sinister for my next one, either Venemous Fury or Sinister Prophecy?

I'm trying to find dimensions on this, mind telling me the length end-to-end of the hilt alone?

Also the width if you don't mind!

Actually... I guess what I might really be looking for is the length from right above the pommel to right below the emitter. Basically those 2 sections that are of even width.

I might have a great display stand, I want to make sure it can work, but its limited. Thanks!

Here you go Bro,
Hope that helps. I believe the section you are talking about is a hair under 7 inches. The lines seem off in the photo because of the camera lense but they are measuring the section you are describing.

Looking so nice! It's a masterpiece.

0.o you don't have to ask for that..... ASP is literally one thing: thread uniformity. So you can take a section off and screw a different one on that has the same threading. When the PS got it's most recent makeover it was to add it to the same system as all the other sabers that could interchange parts, pommels, use extensions an couplers, etc.... then they named it ASP. And launched a modular part campaign. So. The saber is already made from modular parts on the same threading system, if it wasn't then you wouldnt even be able to request ASP compatibility.

Thanks, exactly what Knytiri said. It seems like most new sabers are threaded to be compatible and interchangeable with eachother. I think that will be one great use of the ASP system - modifying standard sabers. For example, I just orderd a Venomous Fury that I think will look great with a Sinister Prophecy pommel. I can just order that ASP pommel when the parts go public and replace the pommel of that VF.

Disclaimer: this is probably done at buyers risk, as modifying sabers would more than likely void the warranty.

Nice unit!,

I want the same please!

I'm trying to put my ASP Kickstarter order in!

Can I check my parts list with yours:-

Prodigal Son Pommel Standard - it doesn't look to have grooves in like yours
PS Body Std - there is no belt loop?
PS Switch Std
PS Emitter 2 Std
Blade Plug 4
Blade 32 - is the PS Mint Green?

Do i need any other bits, what do you recommend for my stretch bonus, im thinking another blade?

Thanks in advance

Escapizm... this wasn't a saber ordered from the ASP system. The PS is ASP modular, but that doesn't mean that everyone of them bought was ordered via ASP parts.

That being said your parts list looks fine. But he did say this was 12w green... not mint green. You can have any color you choose however.

Thanks,
I think Knytiri pretty much covered it. Like he said I didn't order parts, just the standard PS off of Etsy. The parts you listed should get you just about the same thing though.
Like most people who order a Prodigal Son, this one is green. Mint green will be more of a blue-green / seafoam. Think wintergreen gum. Lime green could be a nice option, but yeah, you can get any color you want.
As for the belt loop / D ring, I would just write on the body subject line of the survey
- Prodigal Son body (with D ring)
No guarantees but it is worth a shot. For all we know it might be standard on that body.
